With Attorney General Blumenthal

Democrat BoE Candidate Nina Mohadjer with CT Attorney General Blumenthal at the annual Chowderfest on October 25, 2009.

Chowder Fest

Thank you to Betsy and Bob for hosting the annual Chowederfest at their beautiful home. Thank you also to all the guests who came, listened and showed us their support!

This weekend

I hope to see all parents tomorrow at the Special boE meeting- which is more a public hearing regarding the configuration. Many people are very nerveous about a possible school closing or a configuration. I understand this, since me and my daughters were personally affected by it in 2003. I know how difficult the change can be. But remember any re-districting "melts" new people together. Both my daughters, at the beginning very unhappy with Barlow, quickly found new friends, who are still part of their lives.
So please come to the Public Hearing tomorrow morning.

Stop and Shop

thank you so much for all the Stop & Shop visitors who waited in the rain and were willing to take Palmcards with information. It was great seeing you all. Since it was so windy and rainy, I did not want to keep you in the cold. BUT, please send me any questions you have and I will be more than happy to asnwer them all!
Stay warm! And hope to see you soon, on November 1st at Stop and Shop!

Children's Corner

I received several heart-breaking emails from Ridgefield residents today. All being very concerned abouty a possible closure of the Children's Corner.
I absolutely emphasize with your frustration, since I am also a working parent. However, I assure that the present members of the Board will take their time to choose the most feasible and logical solution with the least amount of damage to all the working parents.

Questions and my answers

Here are some questions I received either via email or during the "Meet and Greet the candidates" coffees:

Q: I was wondering how you feel about the possible changes of reconfiguration, redistricting, etc.?

Saturday, October 3, 2009

I will be at Stop and Shop from 11 am- 1 pm and from 1:30 pm- 5 pm at the Art Walk! I hope to see you there and be able to answer any questions or concerns you might have regarding our schools in Ridgefield.

We have to prepare our students for the 21st century

I was born in one continent, raised in one continent and now call Ridgefield my home.
With the available technologies, our world has become one place. Our children are growing up with the internet, text messages and other methods to connect 24/7 to different continents. We have to accept that this is a global world.

Coffee with Karen Wilson and Paige Bowler

Thank you so much to Karen and Paige for hosting the coffee this afternoon! It was great meeting so many new people and seeing some familiar faces as well.
As I was saying during the coffee: answering your question will be my task. Therefore, please send me any question and/ or concern you might have and I will be more than glad to give you my opinion.
Looking forward seeing you again!
